Research on tobacco shows that each year 14 billion images of tobacco are used by Indians through Bollywood films.

  Now-a-days smoking on screen has been increasing and a ticker is made to run onscreen whenever a tobacco is shown. A research by a NGO says that Bollywood fans are exposed to a impressive 14 billion tobacco images on the big screen each year.

The study also revealed that huge number of children base catch these habits after seeing their favorite of list of bollywood celebrities do the same on screen. The fame that the Bollywood films have earned and their outreach to the huge population composing of children and adults shows the importance to regulate this tobacco exposure and to protect the young minds from being influenced by this habit shown onscreen.

The research also recommends that the Government should take necessary action on the use of tobacco in films and can rate the films accordingly since there is no such law currently. Although the Indian Government has made it compulsory to show the warning signs of tobacco on the movies, it seems like it does not have any ratings based on the tobacco consumption.

Listed Bollywood Star Kareena Kapoor says that Indian Cinema has changed the way it used to portray the women and the film directors are creating more meaningful roles for the actresses.

Kareena says, women are started to portray in a positive manner, their roles are written and directed by young directors and they not showing women as an object of desire.

On hearing the statement that Sushmita Sen is going to tie a knot with the Pakistani cricketer Wasim Akram, she terminated the statement as “absolute rubbish”.

Bollywood gossips and news box earlier some times said that two are planning to get married couple of years later after seeing each other.

However the 37 old Sen in her micro blogging site said that they both are good friends.

She stated that, “Hi guys! Been reading about my upcoming wedding with Wasim… Absolute Rubbish. Goes to show just how irresponsible media can be sometimes.

46 year old Wasim Akram is a friend and will always be one!! He has a wonderful lady in his life… Rumors like these are uncalled for and disrespectful”. 

Wasim has also denied the rumors and he also said he has devoted himself to his children and will not get married at any time.

"I am really fed up with these rumors and speculations made in the media. I decided to take a year off from the Indian Premier League because I wanted to give time to my two sons who are growing up and need their father close to them.

"Right now my entire focus is on spending quality time with them. There is no plan in my life now to get married," Wasim. He is a widower, who lost his wife Huma at October, 2009.

"I want to devote my life to my sons. I think the media and people should not only respect my privacy but also that of Sushmita who is a very graceful and decent lady and a fine human being," he added.

Being a single parent for the two adopted daughters Renee & Alisah and former Miss Universe said she will disclose when she gets married.

She stated that “My beautiful people… when I find ‘The One’… You’ll be the first to know. Benefits of being my twitter family!!”

Brief Biography

Nitin Mukesh – son of legendary playback singer Late Mukesh. Nitin is a trained vocalist and has got training from various teachers such as Pt. Jagannath Mishra, Ustad Faiyyaz Ahmed Khan and Chhote Iqbal.

Nitin had an aptitude for music but his father from the very beginning wanted him to purse his career in management and he send Nitin to abroad. But Nitin was not charmed with such a career so he asked his father’s permission to pursue a career in music. His father accepted his request but advised him that he have to struggle on his own steam.

Nitin’s first song was with Vani Jayaram in the film Dhuan Ki Lakeer directed by Shyamji Ghanshyamji. But on a large scale Nitin gave three hits during the years 1978 – 79 with Lata Mangeshkar: “Main kaise use pasand karoon (satyam shivam sundaram), Gapuji Gapuji Gum Gum (Trishul) and Aja Re Aaja Re O Mere Dilbar Aaja (Noorie).
